Full Time Occupancy Specialist Position: Newport Heights in Newport, R.I., is seeking a qualified, motivated and experienced Occupancy Specialist. The ideal candidate will be bright, energetic and enjoy working in a team-based atmosphere. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Waiting list management, leasing and processing of all applicants, process all annual and interim re-certifications and annual unit inspections. Must possess good telephone skills and customer service skills; must work as a team player and effectively multi-task. Qualifications:

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus;

two-plus years property management experience that includes HUD Section 8 and LIHTC; excellent organizational skills;

ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;

proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Yardi software or similar property management software.

Live-In Responder: Mei Wah Village, a 41 unit elderly community in Chinatown, is seeking candidates for a Live-In Responder role. The ideal candidate will be a responsible person with good interpersonal skills, ability to respond well in emergencies, and who leads a quiet life style. Duties include handling resident lockouts, building emergencies, light snow removal, building patrol, and light janitorial duties as needed.

Skills/Requirements: Basic maintenance experience is preferred. The position requires the candidate to be available during traditional non-business hours (5pm to 8am), including holidays and week-ends. Notwithstanding planned vacations, it is expected the Live-in Responder will be no more than 10 minutes from the property to respond to issues.

Compensation: Salary will commensurate with experience and compensation of a free one bedroom apartment. Bilingual in English & Chinese/Cantonese is a must. Candidate must also qualify to live in a 62+ elderly building.
