Oxford Ping On and Oxford Place offer affordable living in the Chinatown section of the great city of Boston, close to theaters, parks, shopping, public transportation, restaurants, and more. Both are owned by the Chinese Economic Development Council.
Oxford Ping On, at 10 Oxford Place, has 67 units in a nine-story, newly constructed, affordable tax credit building. There are 48 studios, 16 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom apartments. It is green certified and smoke free. It includes a large, on-site laundry. Heat and hot water are included in the rent.
Oxford Place, across the street at 15 Oxford Place, is a six story building with 39 apartments. It is affordable / low-income and includes 22 one-, 15 two-, and 2 three-bedroom units. It also has a laundry and heat and hot water are included in the rent.
If you look to the side of the building, you’ll see the Chinese Heritage Mural. According to the “Sampan” newspaper, it is a replica of an original mural called “Travelers in an Autumn Landscape,” owned by the Museum of Fine Arts. There is also a small park that residents enjoy.
